You lay in your bed shivering with cold and fear. It had been a couple months and many doctors appointments since you had joined Russia's household. He had been very kind and gentle to you, not to mention patient. However, lately, you couldn't help but feel that he had been acting rather odd around you.
At this very moment, you were not worrying about such things, but instead were shaking with fear caused by a nightmare. You were especially afraid because you couldn't see anything. There was no moonlight to calm you, no steady red numbers of an alarm clock.
"Latvia..." You called very quietly. You had that feeling that you sometimes got when you woke up from a nightmare and felt that if you spoke too loudly then it would wake up the imaginary monsters sleeping under your bed.
You hear a branch scrape up against the window and squeaked a little louder, "Latvia!"
Latvia had moved in to your room the first week of your stay. This was so that if you woke up in the night and needed something, he could help you. He took his job with a childish seriousness.
You heard him get up walk across the room to your bed.
"Yes, ____? Do you need a drink of water or something?" He asked sleepily.
"Um, no, it's just.. Could you take me to Russia?"
Latvia didn't seem to like that idea, but he nodded and took your hand, leading you to Russia's door.
You both stood there for a second. You shifted on your feet while Latvia quaked beside you.
He nudged you. "Knock."
"What? You knock! I'm not knocking."
"You said you wanted Russia. I'm not the one that wanted to wake him up at 2 O'clock in the morning. So knock!"
"But, I don't know what he's going to do. What if he's really mad?!"
"This wasn't my idea!"
A voice came from inside the room, "Who's there? Latvia? Lithuania?"
You heard footsteps and the door opening. Latvia hid behind you with one hand tugging urgently on your T-shirt. Like you said, Russia could be pretty scary at times.
"Oh, sunflower!" The atmosphere brightened up alarmingly fast.
You and Latvia both breathed a pent up sigh of relief.
"What are you doing here", He asked, "Is something wrong?"
"Oh, uh, well..." You shifted and bent your head. You felt embarrassed that you had woken him up just because you felt scared silly over a stupid nightmare. Thinking about it made you shiver again.
Russia noticed your discomfort and dismissed Latvia.
"Sunflower if there is anything wrong, then please-"
"Can I sleep with you tonight!" You blurted out.
You felt Russia go silent for a while and you both just stood there awkwardly.
"Chto?" He asked after a long time.
"I had a bad dream and I just wanted someone to stay with." You said.
"Oh."
Again, silence. You felt him staring you down.
"Nevermind, it was stupid. I'm an adult, I should be able to get over stuff like this by my- whOAH!"
He lifted you up abruptly and carried you back to his bed. He carefully tucked you in and lay down beside you.
"Sunflower?"
You scooted to the edge of the king sized bed and faced away from Russia.
"Da?" You replied.
"Why did you wake me up? I mean, why not Lithuania or why not stay with Latvia?"
You thought about that. It was true. You could have easily stayed up with Lithuania and he would have made you both hot chocolate and calmed you down.
"Well," You said, "I guess when I think 'who makes me feel safest?' it would be your name that comes up every time. I'm sorry, I didn't want to bother you. If I could just flip on the hall light I would, but, well..."
Russia reached over and turned you so that you were facing him. He brought you closer and rested his forehead against yours.
"Stop doing the worrying, sunflower. You do not bother me." He stroked your (h/l) hair with one hand. "Do I bother you?"
You shook your head furiously. "Nyet. Never."
Russia kissed your forehead and rolled over on his back. feeling the darkness more acutely, you wrapped an arm around his torso. As you moved a hand over his stomach, you felt an indent like a scar and realized, with a start, that he was shirtless. You jerked your hand back. You felt like an idiot. Did he think that you were feeling him up? Even worse, you felt like you had invaded his personal life by touching his scar.
Surprisingly, you felt him take your hand and run it across the scar you had just touched. It spanned the length of his chest and abdomen. It made you feel very sad for him, and you were touched that he trusted you enough to show you this.
He touched your hand to his lips. "There are others." He murmured into your palm. Russia clasped your hands over his heart. "I want you to find them. I want you to be the one to know me, to discover new things about me. _____, my dear ____." He whispered. "My dear sunflower."
"Ivan." You breathed out his name. Your blush put sunsets to shame.
"Ivan, I love you so much. It means the world to me-" you took a deep breath, "It means the world to me that you feel the same."
Russia turned to you and kissed you gently before you both snuggled together under the warm mound of blankets and found solace in sleep free of nightmares.

A sigh came from Natalia and she closed her eyes, "I am not as crazy as you think Toris. In fact, I'm not crazy at all. I just love Big Brother and hope this experience will bring us closer together."

After several attempts to straighten her messed up fur, (name) walked out the ever-so-canenient cat door her owners had just installed. "Got to hand it to them, they know how to spoil their pets." 'Oi! (name)!" One of the neighbors cats came running.
"Hm? What is it, Gino?" (name) murmured.
