He watched you come into the meeting room once a month next to China. He watched you train with the allies and laugh at their antics. He spoke to you once or twice and even considered himself to be friends with you, but he never told you how he felt. He never told you how sweet you acted or how you were the only one that would smile at him and welcome his closeness. He felt ashamed that something so tragic had to happen before he would tell you how much he really, truly loved you.

"(y/n)!" China screamed, "(Y/N)!"
CRASH
--
You awoke bruised and bandaged in the home of your big brother, China. You were very close and liked to call him by his first name, Yao.
Currently, you were snuggled into a plush bed of silks and soft fabrics. There was a weight on your left arm and something heavy wrapped around your brow. You opened you eyes and saw... Nothing. There wasn't anything. You thought it was nighttime and flopped off of the bed before feeling your way to the bedroom door. This would have been impossible had you not known your way around the house so well. Turning the knob, you peeked your head out, but it was comepletely and utterly dark. You began to feel afraid.
"Yao..." You whispered. Then a little more loudly, "Yao?"
You heard footsteps begin to advance down the hall, then start to run. Someone grabbed your shoulders tightly.
"YAO!" You shrieked for your older sibling.
"Shhh. It's me, aru! It's okay. It's just me." He soothed.
"What happened? Where are the lights? Why can't I see?!"
"You were in a car accident, (y/n)."
"I know that!", you shouted, remembering the event. "Why can't I s-"
He hugged you tightly, cutting you off, before delivering the bad news. "You hit your head. All of your other injuries weren't that bad, but your arm and head will take a while to heal up, aru. Meanwhile, were not really sure about your sight. The impact damaged it pretty badly."
You let out a sob and hugged him back.
"It's okay." He led you back to the bed. "Stay here for a while, aru. I'm going to cook something up for you."
"Okay." You whispered. "Hurry back."
--
A few days had passed. China took you out to the koi ponds every so often where you could get some rest and fresh air. When he wasn't doing paper work, he would talk with you and read to you. When he cooked, he catered to you by calling you in and letting you do the taste testing. Finally, one day he came to your with some bitter-sweet news.
"(y/n), I'm sending you to live with Russia."
The blossom you were toying with tumbled off of your lap and into the koi pond.
"What?"
"I'm sorry, aru. The economy is bad right now, and I can't keep supporting you. Since you're injured, you can't..." China trailed off, but you finished for him.
"I can't carry my own weight. Contribute, I mean." You looked to where you assumed China's face to be with a sad expression.
"How long?" You asked.
China put an arm around your shoulder and rested his chin in your (h/l) hair.
"Hopefully not long. I'll visit you and see you at the meetings. Russia is a friend of mine. And... Well, he was the only one that would take you. But I know you'll be safe with him.
"I know, but I'm going to miss you." You really didn't mind the fact that it was Russia. He was kind to you and you liked him well enough even if he did scare you a bit sometimes. Dude was over six feet. A little intimidating.
"I'm sure you'll be happy, aru. He's coming to pick you up on Saturday."
You nodded, although it was a bit too soon for your liking. It meant you only had one more day with your big brother before going to a place you'd never been before to eat strange foods and hear strange words and meet strange people. At least, you assumed they would be strange. Nearly everyone in the allies was an oddball.
You and China made a day of it the day before pickup by throwing a little private festival and inviting no one but yourselves. You watched classic movies (in your case, listened to) and you dressed in fancy, old fashioned, oriental apparel. China remarked that you had made an odd habit of closing your eyes all the time, seeing as they weren't very useful anymore.
The next day, you packed up all of your things extra early so that you could listen to China chatter on as he cooked lunch. Then there was a knock on the door and China opened it. You heard muffled, solemn tones before heavy footsteps made their way to the kitchen. A gloved hand fell on your shoulder, making you jump with surprise.
"Hello sunflower!" Said a thick Russian accent.

"What do you mean he found a child?" France asked England who sat at the table. They all waited with patience for the Russian to get to the meeting room. Granted they didn't want to see Ivan, they wanted to see who he 'found.'
"Do you know anything about it China?" France glanced over at the brown haired man that was currently chatting with Japan.
He shook his head, ignoring the two European countries.
And then the moment came. Ivan walked in carrying a small bundle in his massive arms. He took his seat, stilling hold the prized treasure in his hands. England and France seeing their opportunity; they left their seats walking o

After several attempts to straighten her messed up fur, (name) walked out the ever-so-canenient cat door her owners had just installed. "Got to hand it to them, they know how to spoil their pets." (name) glanced back at her house. It was fairly large with a stable in the back and perfectly manicured gardens. Shaking her head, (name) padded out of the safety of her yard. "Why do humans have to have so much stuff?"
'Oi! (name)!" One of the neighbors cats came running.
"Hm? What is it, Gino?" (name) murmured.

"Did you finish cleaning out that extra room, Lithuania?" Ivan smiled and patted the top of (f/n)'s head.
"Of course!" Lithuania nodded, his brown hair moving with his head. "We finished this morning."
"That's good," Ivan chuckled, "I would have not wanted to be you if you didn't."
"Did you have a good meeting Sir?" Lativa asked, taking Ivan and (f/n)'s jackets and folding them over his forearm. "The other countries were nice?"
"Da, very talkative today," he sat at his desk grabbing a few stacks of paper, "any messages?"
"What are you doing?" (f/n) asked, pulling herself into his lap. "I wanna help you!"
